The Ford has just put up their new upcoming Ford Figo for display in my office. It looked really good, from my point of view. The first and foremost thing i liked about this, is the interior spacing. We could argue on this, as the other cars are coming up with the same feature. But what really astonished me was the luggage space. It has a very good, and large luggage space, which most of the cars lack, and adding to this is the good interior leg space.
The interior looks of the car are good, they loaded up with the dash board with two airbags, have nt seen that, much in small segment cars. The dash board, looks well finished. The blower is similar to what you have in Fiesta, but bigger in size to get twice as much as cooling when compared to other cars.. !!.. The music player what i thought was, the finishing looked similar or very near to what the New Honda City 2009 has, which is very neat indeed.You can connect your mobile to the music player, with the bluetooth connectivity. Pair up to 4 phones and access full phone book, you could take privacy calls, get second call alerts and also SMS alerts. You could also stream in music from your phone.
One interesting thing, it has a six speed intermittent wiper, but this is available only in the higher versions of the car.
It gives a very good look to the interior of the car. Ford has always come up with good steering to all its cars, the only company which according to me, ahead of Ford is Honda in its steering design. So i would say the steering really matches the car. The gear rod, is small and stylish and has a silver finishing on top of it.
Coming to the exterior look of the car is, when i first saw this on the internet, i though it looked more like an A star or Hundai i10. But i guess i was worng, for me it looks lot better than A star. The head lights mite partly match up with hundai i 10. But the body design is neat and unique. The car is much lower than Swift in its height, probably similar to the Skoda fabia. But the car is definately smaller than swift and fabia in its size and height. It does have an muscular and a sturdy look, the bumpers come painted with the color of the body.
The Figo has come up with 7 different colors,
1. Diamond white
2. Moondust Silver
3. Chill
4. Panther Black
5. Sea Grey
6. Sqeeze , (the mountian dew color)
7. Colarado red.
Anyway, the Ford advertises Figo as best in its class, the features of the car speak so. But lets see how it sails in the market. Indians have definetly been big fans of Ford, lets see how they take this car, with Swift, i20, Fabia, Jazz already existing in market. Anyway wishing good luck and good start Ford Figo.
